We are proud to have assisted our long term clients at Lion Beer, Spirits and Wine Pty Ltd (Lion) in the recent removal of three (3) existing liquor licences to a more suitable trading location in the Sydney CBD (i.e. two packaged liquor licences, and a producer wholesaler licence). As a large scale online alcohol retailer, the flexibility of Lion’s internet operations is fundamental to its success. As required during the acquisition of the Vanguard Luxury Brands, BSV was able to assist Lion move those licences to their own office space in the Sydney CBD, with our licensing team identifying the most cost effective and efficient method of doing so. BSV drew upon their expertise to prepare and deliver two successful applications and ensured that there was clear direction for our clients in the acquisition process, which allowed Lion to move towards 100% ownership of Vanguard.
Similarly, BSV assisted Lion in moving a further licence at Sydney Olympic Park to the same office space in the Sydney CBD. BSV again prepared an application and detailed Community Impact Statement which emphasised the benefits and objectives of the Application. The CIS documents prepared by BSV secured approval of each application, which ensured that Lion’s liquor licences remained available to the business throughout the location shift.
